The Journey

Our journey is long with many delays.
The path is narrow; a rocky way.
Our faith may lack, our hopes grow dim,
But conquer we will, as we trust in Him.

Though times are hard, we forge ahead;
Facing with courage the pain we dread.
The Savior guides and carries us forward,
Helping us gain an eternal reward.

Each step we take brings us closer to God.
Only He truly knows the pathway we've trod.
And as we reach toward the final crest,
We understand how we have been blessed!

As we look back on the way we've come
We see the Savior who has helped us home.
He waits with others who have traveled as well
To reach mansions in Heaven, hoping there to dwell.

The pathway is clear now, beauty all around
As we enter that holy and sacred ground.
Our loved ones are there, their arms open wide
To welcome us home to forever abide.

Our Lord draws us near, his arms circle round.
Our hearts swell with gratitude that we were found
Worthy; that we gave life our best
He whispers his welcome into His eternal rest.
